Milestones
Spectrum’s President and CEO, Jeff Wassmer is a USAF veteran with extensive career experience in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, delivering communications and computer systems expertise. His USAF tenure was highlighted by his selection as one of the first USAF Distributed Common Ground System site System Communication (SC) Officers supporting several first-time deployments of intelligence ground components to areas of conflict.
Shortly after his departure from the USAF, Jeff entered private industry as a government contractor located in Warner Robins, Georgia and continued his support of C4ISR systems and operations. It is here he envisioned a wide-area communications backbone network that would enable high volume and latent distributed operations. Connecting with Anthoney Stoney, now Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Spectrum, they joined forces to merge Jeff’s communications vision with the Air Force ISR systems modernization and advanced capabilities plans. The end result was a true collaborative intelligence environment which connected analytical centers continents apart to join forces and disseminate near real-time intelligence to the battle-space.
Spectrum Comm, Inc. was incorporated on March 27, 1999 to provide the Department of Defense with new innovative services and solutions to achieve enhanced mission performance and force-modernization expertise to transform future ISR capabilities and systems. Since its inception, Spectrum has experienced exponential growth with a remarkable doubling in size in 2008.
