Newport News, VA - On July 29, 2011 Spectrum, a veteran-owned business headquartered in Newport News, VA, was notified that it had been awarded the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Lead Command Support multi-year, multi-million dollar contract.

On Tuesday July 26, Spectrum President & CEO Jeff Wassmer was sworn into office as a Commissioner of the Virginia Port Authority. Jeff was appointed by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and will serve on the 12 member Board of Commissioners which oversees the 43 billion dollar shipping industry within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
