May 28, 2020 – Newport News, VA Spectrum CEO Jeff Wassmer was recently named on Inside Business’s “The Power List, The people who have the most influence in shaping Hampton Roads”. In his article, “The 10th Power List reflects our tumultuous times”, Inside Business editor Dan Duke states, “The Power List includes 50 other people who make major contributions to this region’s strength.” Jeff was cited for the various boards he is committed to including the York County Board of Supervisors and the Hampton Roads Military and Federal Facilities Alliance.

April 1, 2019 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum Comm, Inc. celebrated 20 years of service to the company’s customers, employees and communities on March 27, 2019.  Approximately 200 guests joined the company’s headquarters celebration at Boathouse Live in Newport News, VA on the evening of March 26.  Executive leadership welcomed all guests to include present and past employee-owners, as well as several distinguished guests of honor, and introduced a short video commemorating this milestone. Spectrum to Support AFOTEC Test Services (ATS) Contract

May 17, 2018 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum Comm, Inc. was recently awarded a new subcontract by American Systems Corporation, under their advisory and assistance services (A&AS) prime contract supporting the U.S. Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC), as well as several follow-on contracts. The value of these contracts total $6.6 Million.  Spectrum is privileged to have a team of dedicated experts who have supported this customer for years. March 29, 2018 – Newport News, VA – CEO Jeff Wassmer incorporated Spectrum on March 27, 1999 in Hampton, VA.  The company first operated in Warner Robins, GA and relocated to Hampton, VA upon a significant contract award.  In 2009, due to exponential growth, the company outgrew its headquarters location and moved to Newport News, VA.  Today, we have employees across the country in various locations. Spectrum to Prime Enterprise Contract Logistics Support Contract

January 11, 2018 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum Comm, Inc., along with our teammates The Ginn Group, Inc. and GDIT, has been awarded the Enterprise Contract Logistics Support (ECLS) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.  This contract provides the capabilities for task-oriented Enterprise Contract Logistics Support necessary for the weapon systems sustained by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), C2ISR Division (HBG), Logistics Section (HBGML) at Robins Air Force Base (RAFB), Georgia. The C2ISR Division is implementing an enterprise approach to total lifecycle logistics support and specialized global Supply Chain Management (SCM) for supported C2ISR weapon systems. This is a single award IDIQ contract with a $42,520,000 ceiling value. (more…)

Spectrum to Prime Operational Test and Evaluation Services Contract

April 4, 2017 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum Comm, Inc. was awarded a new Task Order under the AFOTEC Operational Test and Evaluation Services (OTES) IDIQ contract for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) along with teammate Summit Technical Solutions, LLC (STS). The team will provide technical services to AFOTEC, Detachment 4 through analytical and subject matter expertise focused on test planning, test execution and data analysis of the GBSD program. The effort will be performed primarily at the AFOTEC Operating Location of Hill AFB, Utah (OL-HU). (more…)
