Spectrum, a government contractor in Hampton Roads, has outgrown its Downtown Hampton facility and will be moving to Compass Pointe in Newport News to better accommodate the needs of the company. Centrally located to several area attractions the new address will be One Compass Way, Suite 300 Newport News, VA 23606.

Now over 250 employees, Spectrum’s rapid growth has been the leading cause for the need to relocate. Downtown Hampton has been the home of Spectrum for nine years but with 67 employees working in the Corporate Office the facility could no longer accommodate Spectrum’s needs.

At Compass Pointe Spectrum will be located on the third floor with around 20,000 square feet of office space. The new facility includes four conference rooms, a training lab, employee offices, and several breakout areas for group collaboration. The Main Conference room will enable Spectrum to hold conferences and meetings of up to 65 people comfortably. Each conference room will also include the latest telecom and meeting technology to provide top level technical expertise.

Spectrum President and CEO Jeff Wassmer said, “Spectrum is very excited to be moving into our new facility. It will be sad to say goodbye to Queens Way but we look forward to what the future holds for us at Compass Pointe. Our growth in the last two years has happened very quickly and Compass gives us space to continue that growth. It also gives us the opportunity to offer our employees new benefits we didn’t have at our old location. With employees being our most valued asset this was a very important goal in the design of our new building.”
