On Earth Day in 2008 Spectrum kicked off its Go Green Initiative and has been working hard to make the world a cleaner place for over a year. On April 22, 2009, Spectrum celebrated this year’s Earth Day with a Plant Sale in the Hampton Corporate Office. This sale jump-started the 2009 Go Green Initiative for Spectrum’s Corporate office as well as its 13 other locations. All proceeds collected were donated to organizations that help fight global environmental issues and work towards a greener future.
Over 30 plants were displayed and sold throughout the day to eager Spectrum employees. It is a proven fact that interior plants improve air quality, save on energy costs, reduce stress and absenteeism in the workplace, and improve employee productivity and creativity. With these statistics and the ever-growing desire to help the environment, Spectrum’s Plant Sale was a huge success. We thank the entire Spectrum Team for supporting the Go Green Initiative and making the world a better place not only for ourselves but for the future.
