Newport News, VA – September 26, 2013  Perfect weather and the sound of Army helicopters kicked off the start of The Spectrum Foundation’s 4th Annual Golf Tournament. On September 20, twenty-two teams played at the Pines Golf Course on Fort Eustis in Newport News, VA. Through the charitable contributions of our golfers and sponsors, the Foundation raised approximately $8,000 which will be dispersed to not-for-profit organizations that support Wounded Warriors and other community organizations.

CEO Jeff Wassmer states, “We have been fortunate to have very generous partners and sponsors, an eager golf community, and stellar employees who have made this event a success each of the past four years. There are many people in need and this tournament is one way we look forward to giving back each year. We thank our sponsors who made this event possible!”

On January 1, 2009 Spectrum implemented the “Spectrum Foundation.” This Foundation serves as the governing body for all of Spectrum’s charitable giving.  The Spectrum Foundation is a donor advised fund managed by the Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia.
