Newport News, VA – On May 5, 2011 the Spectrum Foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Spectrum Foundation Golf Tournament at the Kiln Creek Golf Course and Country Club located in Newport News, VA. The weather was beautiful, the food was delicious and the fellowship made for a wonderful event.

We had a tremendous turnout, as over 76 golfers came to demonstrate their golf playing ability on one of the most renowned courses in Virginia. The Kiln Creek Golf and Country Club boasts an 18-hole course, which provided the expert golfer the chance to participate in the tournament, but also gave the amateur golfer the opportunity to put their golf skills to the test.

The event was a huge success, raising over $8,000 for the Spectrum Foundation. Due to its continued success the Golf Tournament has been inducted as an annual event for the Foundation.

The Spectrum Foundation would like to thank the following sponsors for their support; Lion’s Bridge Financial, Cox Business, KIS, Paramount Builders, Kaufman & Canoles, Witt Mares, Beskin & Associates, Bank of America, Bay Electric, Insignia Technologies, SunTrust, Wells Fargo, Matrix, CI Travel and BB&T.

The Spectrum Foundation represents all Spectrum employees and their families. The Wounded Warriors organization is the primary benefactor of the Foundation, however other non-profit community organizations will also receive funds and donations.
