On August 13, 2009 Spectrum Celebrated its Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its new Corporate Headquarters at One Compass Way Suite 300 Newport News, VA.
“We are happy to introduce our new facility to the public eye and proud to be a supportive workforce in the city of Newport News,” said President and CEO Jeff Wassmer. “This truly marks a new milestone for Spectrum as we continue our tremendous growth.”
Over 175 people attended the event including employees and their families, customers, colleagues and business partners, vendors and Newport News Officials. Mayor Joe S. Frank was on hand to offer encouraging remarks regarding Spectrum and assisted in the Ribbon Cutting.
“We were delighted that Mayor Frank could attend our Ribbon Cutting. His overwhelming support for Spectrum’s transition to Newport News truly makes Spectrum feel welcome and at home,” said Mr. Wassmer.
Spectrum has now over 250 employees in over 18 different locations and Compass Pointe is exactly the location to help them continue their success. With over 20,000 square feet the company has room to grow and thrive as it enters new markets in the future.
