Newport News, VA – June 12, 2013 – Spectrum sponsored participating wounded warriors for the third annual Run for the Dream race weekend occurring May 31 to June 2. Spectrum’s contributions enabled all wounded warriors to participate for free in the races which included an 8K and half marathon in Williamsburg, VA. Twenty handcyclists participated in each race and an additional 60 wounded warriors participated as runners or walkers. Spectrum’s contributions also provided a dinner for the handcyclists and a VIP Reception at the Williamsburg Lodge in honor of Wounded Warriors. Funds further allowed the first 50 wounded warriors who signed up to receive a free hotel room and extra Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg tickets.
