July 3, 2014 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum recently received word of two contract wins. The Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) awarded Spectrum with a $13,683,848 contract to provide a broad range of engineering, technical, and analytical services in support of operational testing and evaluation services. This award resulted from a re-compete of an existing task order supporting AFOTEC.
The second award is a task order supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) J6. This effort will combine traditional IT program management skills with Lean Six Sigma process improvement techniques to assist DLA in improving and standardizing processes across their enterprise.
Spectrum CEO Jeff Wassmer states, “The AFOTEC win attests to our ability to provide superior service, fair value, and highly experienced personnel to support the AFOTEC mission. We are pleased to have the opportunity to continue supporting this great customer. Lean Six Sigma is a methodology I believe both the government and contractors alike would greatly benefit from, especially in our current environment. I am pleased to enter this new area of work for the company.”
