Spectrum Awarded its 18th CAAS III Task Order
Spectrum was recently awarded TO 45 to support the US Air Force’s premiere flight demonstration team – “The Thunderbirds”. Spectrum is tasked to produce creative, professional and artistically inspired products to enhance the public’s Thunderbird experience. This marks the 18th task order under the ACC Contracted Advisory and Assistance Services (CAAS) III Contract. ACC Acquisition Management and Integration Center announced the award on 10 Mar 2009. This task further extends our competitive advantage on CAAS III, where SPECTRUM is the largest holder of task orders on this contract vehicle with Air Combat Command. Congratulations to the CAAS III team for another job well done and win for SPECTRUM.
Spectrum Participates in Inaugural VPCC LI Youth Career Expo
On Feb 10, 2009, Spectrum participated in the first-ever VPCC Leadership Institute Youth Career Expo at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia. This event, put on by the Leadership Institute Class of 2009 served as the class project for the year helping over 3,500 teens gather the skills needed to succeed in finding employment. Spectrum’s LI representatives included: Executive Vice President/COO Anthoney Stoney and Director of Technology Solutions Mike Nickerson. Spectrum Wins Another CAAS III Task Order
Spectrum was recently awarded a task to support Air Combat Command (ACC) Directorate of Plans with the stand-up and basing requirements for the Global Strike Command. This marks the 17th task order under the ACC Contracted Advisory and Assistance Services (CAAS) III Contract. ACC Acquisition Management and Integration Center announced the award on 13 Feb, 2009. This task further extends Spectrum’s competitive advantage on CAAS III, where Spectrum is the largest holder of task orders on this contract vehicle with Air Combat Command.
Spectrum is teamed with Booz |Allen |Hamilton on this effort. This win adds several employees to the ever-growing Spectrum team. Congratulations to the CAAS III team for another job well done and win for Spectrum.
Spectrum Brings on a new Human Resources Director on to the Spectrum Team
Monday Feb 9th, 2009, Spectrum brought on Dave Enoch as the new Human Resources Director. Enoch will assist the current HR Manager in providing the highest level of HR expertise to Spectrum employees. He will provide leadership in compensation and benefits, recruitment, training, HR processes and procedures and employee development. (more…)
Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling Visits Spectrum
On Thursday, Jan 8th, Lt. Gov Bill Bolling visited Spectrum’s corporate office in Hampton, VA. Mr. Bolling met with President and CEO Jeff Wassmer to discuss the many challenges that the Commonwealth of Virginia faces in a shrinking economy. They also discussed the upcoming legislative session and how it will prove to be one of the most challenging. (more…)
Spectrum Donates Computers to Local Non-Profit
On December 18th, three Spectrum employees delivered and installed six laptops and a printer to the Community Mediation Center in Norfolk, VA. Executive Director Kim Humphrey stated, “The computer equipment makes it possible for us to resolve, reduce and prevent conflict across Hampton Roads.” Offering business training, mediation for families and communities, and also youth education, the center provided over 1,000 mediations last year. With the new computer equipment, the Community Mediation Center hopes to continue expanding its capabilities even further across Hampton Roads, assisting companies like Spectrum to build a better workplace.
