Spectrum Announces Office Relocation
Spectrum, a government contractor in Hampton Roads, has outgrown its Downtown Hampton facility and will be moving to Compass Pointe in Newport News to better accommodate the needs of the company. Spectrum recently served as a table sponsor for the April 2009 Breakfast with local Legislators, hosted by the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. On May 7, 2009 the Hampton Roads Technology Council (HRTC) held its annual TechNite for 2009. This year’s Awards Banquet was attended by Anthoney Stoney, Executive Vice President and COO; Steve LaFata, Vice President and Director of Business Relations; Mike Nickerson, Vice President and Director of Technology Solutions; Dave Enoch, Director of Human Resources; and Grant Keller, Manager of Information Technology. Spectrum Sponsors a Table at the 2009 AFCEA Joint Warfighting Conference Luncheon
On 12 May 09, representatives of Spectrum attended the Joint Warfighting 09 Conference luncheon held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This conference is an annual event sponsored by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronic Association (AFCEA) and the U.S. Naval Institute, in coordination with U.S. Joint Forces Command. Spectrum proudly sponsored a table at the luncheon and several Spectrum employees attended the event. Spectrum Participates in the VPCC Military Job Fair of VA
On April 23rd Spectrum participated in the 2009 Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (VPCC) Military Job Fair of Virginia at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. In this time of economic uncertainty, it was very important for Spectrum to be a part of this biannual event. Spectrum Wins its 19th Task Order Under the ACC CAAS III Contract
Spectrum was recently awarded a second task to support the US Air Force 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale AFB. Spectrum is tasked to support MC-12W mission planning, mission support, and maintain MC-12W Standardization and Evaluation testing. This marks the 19th task order under the ACC Contracted Advisory and Assistance Services (CAAS) III Contract. ACC Acquisition Management and Integration Center announced the award on 23 Apr 2009. This task further extends Spectrum’s competitive advantage on CAAS III, where Spectrum is the largest holder of task orders on this contract vehicle with Air Combat Command. Congratulations to the CAAS III team for another job well done and win for Spectrum.
Spectrum Celebrates Earth Day
On Earth Day in 2008 Spectrum kicked off its Go Green Initiative and has been working hard to make the world a cleaner place for over a year. On April 22, 2009, Spectrum celebrated this year’s Earth Day with a Plant Sale in the Hampton Corporate Office. This sale jump-started the 2009 Go Green Initiative for Spectrum’s Corporate office as well as its 13 other locations. All proceeds collected were donated to organizations that help fight global environmental issues and work towards a greener future. (more…)
