Spectrum Employees Donate to Toys for Tots
February 17, 2017 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum’s Hurlburt Field, FL employees, along with business partners Credence and The Rockhill Group Inc., recently lead an effort to collect toys for Toys for Tots. They successfully collected five boxes of gifts and $787.00 cash in donations making this the largest donation made to Toys for Tots for Okaloosa County, Florida over the 2016 holiday season. (more…)
Spectrum to Prime Defense Logistics Agency IDIQ Contract
February 16, 2017 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum Comm, Inc., along with our teammates, has been awarded up to a $6 Billion Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) J6 Enterprise Technology Services (JETS). Spectrum’s core team includes ADDX Corporation, FEDITC LLC, MirLogic, SI2, and The Moore Group. Contractors on the JETS contract will provide the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise. The JETS contract will also allow for de-centralized ordering by other DoD agencies. (more…)
Spectrum Donates to Local Organizations
July 6, 2016 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum recently joined with Priority Staffing, Two Men and A Truck, and other local businesses to collect items needed for its “Movers for Moms®” program. This program provides care packages to mothers who have to stay at CHKD overnight with their child. Many times this happens unexpectedly and they find themselves without toiletries or other important items. These care packages can make their stay a little more comfortable. The items collected were new, mostly travel sized toiletries as well as books and magazines. (more…)
Spectrum Opens Corporate Office in West Virginia
July 17, 2015 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum Comm, Inc. has been awarded a project under the Air Force Technical and Analytical Support for Professional Services (AFTAS PRO) Task Order that includes seven employees in West Virginia. This new project results in the opening of a new office location for the company in Bridgeport, WV. Spectrum’s CEO Jeff Wassmer and COO William Stulb celebrated a ribbon cutting on Thursday, July 16 with employees and family, members of the Bridgeport City Council and Chamber of Commerce. (more…)
Spectrum Foundation Strikes Out Hunger
April 14, 2015 – Newport News, VA – The Spectrum Foundation hosted its annual “Strike Out Hunger” bowling event to raise funds and food for the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank on March 28. Employees, family and friends donated 524 pounds of food and $1100 to the Foodbank. The total donations will help provide the equivalent of 4,800 nutritious meals in our community. (more…)
Spectrum Celebrates 16 Years of Innovation
March 27, 2015 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum was founded on March 27, 1999. The company historically provides A&AS services support to the Air Force. Spectrum has found great success in this facet and has developed a strong reputation due to the ethics and expertise of our employees. Over the past year and a half, while maintaining its service to the Air Force, Spectrum began pursuing more strategic efforts to build its business base outside of its traditional market. This includes diversifying the company’s customer base to other branches of the military and developing technology products that will be marketed to military and commercial sectors. The company has also proudly developed a methodology where employees can advance themselves within Spectrum with its Find It, Win It, Own It program. Spectrum Awarded $35M SAF/AQX Contract
February 19, 2015 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum Comm, Inc. has been awarded a contract for $35,589,697 to provide technical and analytical support to The Office of Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) and Deputy Assistant Secretary (Acquisition Integration) (SAF/AQX). Spectrum and its teammates will support the Air Force and interacting agencies across a broad array of acquisition initiatives. Third Spectrum Employee Recognized as Top 40 Under 40
October 2014 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum employee Amit Daswani was recognized by Inside Business as a Top Forty Under Forty for his career success and dedication to serving our community. Amit supports the Air Force as a subject matter expert focused on command and control systems. He has served our armed forces both as active duty and with his post-military career for over 20 years. In his free time, Amit serves the community in a variety of roles. He has volunteered his time and talents to several organizations and events including the Asian Indians of Hampton Roads, International Children’s Festival, the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) and volunteering DJ services to a variety of organizations’ events. Credence Awarded the US Air Force AFSOAWC Training Support Contract
September 26, 2014 – Credence, along with teaming partners Spectrum Comm Inc. and The Rockhill Group, has been awarded one of the first General Services Administration (GSA) One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) contract task orders to provide the United States Air Force Special Operations Air Warfare Center (AFSOAWC) with mission critical training services. Credence’s AFSOAWC team will provide on-site curriculum support for all courseware development, updates, and distribution. (more…)
Two Recent Spectrum Contract Wins
July 3, 2014 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum recently received word of two contract wins. The Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) awarded Spectrum with a $13,683,848 contract to provide a broad range of engineering, technical, and analytical services in support of operational testing and evaluation services. This award resulted from a re-compete of an existing task order supporting AFOTEC. (more…)
