Spectrum, a veteran-owned business headquartered in Newport News, VA was notified that it has been awarded as a subcontractor to Prime, BBH Consultants to support the A-10 System Program Office at Hill AFB, UT. The contract leverages Spectrum’s core capabilities and performance to deliver highly technical Advisory and Assistance Services that include: Program management; Logistics; Technical; and Administrative support and is expected to total $2M throughout the Period of Performance for the USAF. Spectrum Announces Latest Win
Newport News, VA – On July 29, 2011 Spectrum, a veteran-owned business headquartered in Newport News, VA, was notified that it had been awarded the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Lead Command Support multi-year, multi-million dollar contract. With this award, Spectrum will be providing the Air Force Command and Control Integration Center (AFC2IC) Enterprise Requirements Division, JTRS Branch, expertise to represent Air Force requirements in the development, design, and implementation of approved plans for the JTRS program. Spectrum President & CEO Appointed to the Virginia Port Authority Board of Commissioners
On Tuesday July 26, Spectrum President & CEO Jeff Wassmer was sworn into office as a Commissioner of the Virginia Port Authority. Jeff was appointed by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and will serve on the 12 member Board of Commissioners which oversees the 43 billion dollar shipping industry within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The Board of Commissioners is guided by the Port Authority’s Vision: The Port of Virginia will be the primary gateway for international cargo transported through the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West regions of the United States. The Virginia Port Authority will promote economic development and stimulate job growth within the Commonwealth through international trade. (more…)

Spectrum Sponsors Run for the Dream
Newport News, VA – May 21, 2011 Spectrum, a veteran-owned business headquartered in Newport News, VA, sponsored Run for the Dream, one of the most anticipated races of the year. This inaugural event featured an 8K/Fun Run on May 21st as well as a Half Marathon on May 22nd in Williamsburg, Virginia. An Achievable Dream organized and hosted the weekend races to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides assistance to injured military veterans and An Achievable Dream itself, a Kindergarten through twelfth-grade school in the Newport News area offering a cultivating, positive, and high-success environment for underprivileged children.
